FE-ISO5167


FE-ISO5167, Ver. 1.30 is a program for MS Windows. FE-ISO5167 calculates: flow-rate, differential pressure, pipe diameter and the diameter of a pressure differential device in accordance with the International Standard ISO 5167.

INTRODUCTION
FE-ISO5167 is a program for MS Windows.
FE-ISO5167 calculates flowrate, differential pressure, diameter of pressure differential device (orifice plates, nozzles, Venturi nozzles, Venturi tubes and cone meters) and the diameter of a pipe in accordance with:

  • International standard ISO 5167:

The FE-ISO5167 solves the following flow engineering tasks:

1. Flowrate calculation
2. Differential pressure calculation
3. Calculation of the diameter of metering device (orifice or throat or cone) at working conditions
4. Calculation of the upstream inner diameter of pipe at working conditions

The FE-ISO5167 covers the engineering equations for the following differential devices:

1. Orifice with flange tappings
2. Orifice with corner tappings
3. Orifice with D and D/2 tappings
4. Venturi tube with a machined inlet
5. Venturi tube with an 'as cast' inlet
6. Venturi tube with a rough-welded sheet-iron inlet
7. Long radius nozzle
8. ISA 1932 nozzle
9. Venturi nozzle (ISA inlet)
10. Cone meters

FE-ISO5167 reports the corresponding errors if input and/or output data are out of limits imposed by standards and helps to locate and correct the errors.

FE-ISO5167 enables the following input/output operations:

1. Save/Load project
2. Print project
3. Print project ASCII to file

Deafault project file extension is '.dde'

INPUT PARAMETERS
Input parameters common to all calculations are:

1. Absolute pressure
2. Temperature
3. Fluid type (gas or liquid)
4. Upstream density
5. Upstream viscosity
6. Isentropic exponent
7. Type of differential device
8. Position of pressure tap (up- or down-stream pressure measurement)

Additional input parameters for flowrate calculation are:
1. Differential pressure
2. Orifice or throat or cone diameter
3. Pipe diameter

Additional input parameters for differential pressure calculation are:
1. Flowrate
2. Orifice or throat or cone diameter
3. Pipe diameter

Additional input parameters for the calculation of orifice or throat or cone diameter are:
1. Flowrate
2. Differential pressure
3. Pipe diameter

Additional input parameters for the calculation of pipe diameter are:
1. Flowrate
2. Beta ratio
3. Differential pressure

OUTPUT PARAMETERS
Output parameters common to all calculations are:
1. Reynolds number
2. Coefficient of discharge
3. Expansion factor
4. Mean axial velocity
5. Pressure loss (available only for orifices and nozzles)
6. Pressure loss coefficient (available only for orifices and nozzles)

Additional output parameters for flowrate calculation are:
1. Flowrate
2. Beta ratio

Additional output parameters for differential pressure calculation are:
1. Differential pressure
2. Beta ratio

Additional output parameters for the calculation of the diameter of
orifice or throat or cone are:
1. Diameter of orifice or throat or cone

Additional output parameters for the calculation of pipe diameter are:
1. Pipe diameter

INSTALLATION
Download "fe_5167.exe", the latest version of self-extracting and self-installing demo program. Run "fe_5167.exe" and follow the on-screen instructions. The default folder for installation is c:\ProgramFiles (x86)\FE_ISO5167.

Setup program automatically adds FE-ISO5167 to the Program group. To start FE-ISO5167 double click the icon from Windows Explorer or click "Start" from your taskbar and then select "Programs" and "Fe-iso5167".

The values of pressure and density parameters are fixed in unregistered version and can not be changed but you can still verify all the possibilities and options of registered FE-ISO5167 software.

REGISTRATION:
To convert your FE-ISO5167 demo program into fully functional version you need to buy the corresponding license.
After buying the license you will receive email with registration data, which will enable you to unlock your demo and convert it into the fully functional registered version.
To register the program, Run FE-ISO5167 as administrator! Select'Register' from 'Help' menu of your FE-ISO5167 menu bar and enter data exactly as described in the corresponding e-mail message.
